I was using Naturtint 4N from the healthfood store to dye my hair medium brown (but it comes out much darker than that), and I decided I wanted a change, so I tried to dye my hair auburn with Nutrisse shade 69. It was a total disaster! My roots are bright light copper %26amp; the rest of my hair is dark brown with some red areas. I just did it last night. Can I redye my hair with the Naturtint 4N medium brown already? Will this fix the problem (make it all one color again--brown)? My natural hair color is medium brown (lighter than the 4N color).

try hair color remover called opps. you can buy that at walmart or walgreens. it will work

Personally I would visit a salon and either get them to deal with it or at least get some professional advice. I don't think you have too serious a problem, you could always just do your roots with the brown shade and get a friend to help and cover the red areas, don't cover it all as it will go darker still as your hair will now be quite porous. don't leave the colour on for the recommended time either, just half the time.
