I am half white half asian and have black hair. I look mostly white rather than asian and i wanted to dye my hair medium brown/maybe dark brown. Depends on the brown. I like brows one shade darker than hair color, it makes the eyes pop. Dark brown hair black brows fine. Medium brown has warm tones so it is nice to soften the brows a bit to give them warmth. Although some brows can be very stubborn due to courseness be carefull to not lighten to much no brunette has natural orange brows. Yuck.

I have a small problem...or not really but I do want a few opinions...I have I guess medium hair...it's below my chin but above my shoulders...and I straighten it every day. I have done this for a few years, but it use to be longer. Anyway I am going on a cruise in November, and I'm not going to want to straighten it everyday then get in the water for it to get nappy. So would the easier thing be to let it grow out as much as it will or just cut it off now and get to a hairstyle that I like...I don't mind cutting it off. Right now with my hair not straightened it's just wavy, and I don't really like it that much...I can put it up a little but have to put a lot of bobby pins in it to keep it from falling. I just want it to look cute on the cruise, but not too fixed...any suggestions??

If you find a style that you like then I would say get it cut, by the time November comes around it will have grown out a lot and will be even cutier. I didn't flat iron mine everyday either when I was on a cruise, but I had fun scrunching and pinning it up. You can also use a few different products to help with the curls....

if u let it stay curly then it will look good with spikyness in it otherwise i suggest a twist...pull hair into high pony then take pony and twist it and wrap around hair tie but leave a few inches unrolled...then secure with bobby pins on the twisted part..then you're done, you can also straigten your short front pieces and part your hair a little more drastically to the side...HOPE THIS HELPS!

that sounds a bit like my hair at the moment. Normally a ponytail would do but turns out spiky, so now i just roll it up at the back and secure it with a shark clip or something similar. Other than that, wear a ponytail down really low, like at the nape of your neck. Hope this helps, but you only really have those two options if you want to tie your hair back.

If it's hair extensions you want then there are ones that you can clip in to your hair! It's an easy enough process and can be quite cheap! If you have the money then go to your local hairdressers and they will do it for you but if you are on a budget then you can buy a Weft of hair and cut it to fit your head and buy clips to sew on! It sounds harder than it is but it looks lovely!

You should definitely get them if you want them! I can understand wanting an up-do for the big day and photos.

Is your hairdresser doing your hair for the wedding? Talk to them before hand about the extensions and they can even order you a great color match extension.

If you don't have a hairdresser for your wedding, I would strongly advise getting one and working with them on this, since you guys will be looking at those for the rest of your lives. :)

Try extensions first, months ahead of the wedding (maybe some less expensive ones), and make sure you really, really like them and that they go with your veil and your dress, etc. If getting some less expensive ones confirms that that is definitely the look you want, then you can invest in some more expensive ones closer to the actual date. However, if once you get the "trial" ones you discover that that is really not what you thought it would be, you are not stuck scrambling trying to make your hair look decent only a week or so before the wedding!

Second, extensions sound perfect! You'll look like a goddess. lol. Go to a good salon and have it tightly wound or it might not look so good. It's going to definitely be pricey but it'll be worth it to feel even more special and beautiful that day.

You should start trying them out now to get a feel of them and if you like them..do no use the glue ones. i did once and i had to wear a hat for about 3 weeks, the glue wouldnt come out and the oil made my hair feel awful, i just wanted to cry. besure you get a professional to do it for you but also be careful because if they do them wrong it can pull your hair out and leave bald spots.

ehhhh extensions can be very awesome but if you want good ones, like the celebrities get... ITS EXPENSIVE but worth it...

my roomate got hers done in las vegas for her college graduation, it was $800 and they were sewn in individually with little bundles of hair about 20 pieces max at a time, it took FOREVER but they looked AMAZING and didnt start falling out for 6 months, her only complaint... after about 2-3 months (depending on how fast your hair grows) they get kinda itchy cause its hard to wash them where they are sewn, but she loved them, so we lived in NC and she wanted to get them again cause they do tend to thin your hair and your natural hair looks kinda crappy when they come out...

either way she thought she was getting a bargain and found a place to do them for like $200 and they started falling out a week later...

If you have the money and find a good salon, I would go for it, I mean how often can you take wedding pics and you will have them for months... but i wouldnt get them until like a month before the big day so you can get used to them, past the initial pain, and learn to work and style them...

hi i think any colour would suit you ive got light blue eyes and fair skin , and my natural colour hair is light blonde, and at first i dyed my hair a nice aubern( ive not spelt that right i know) red should i say, and that looked really good,then when i got fed up with that i dyed it jet black and i have kept it that colour for about five years,i love it and i think it suits my complexion(sorry i cant spell) i would say any colour would go its what you make of it. i am definatly more confident with black hair than blonde. and it makes your blue eyes stand out too. and another good point is i dont get taken as a dumb blonde as much,only by the people who know me. im sorry if i have gone on a bit but i hope this helps........................

I have the same type of hair i use the iron also and what i do is put on my hair befor i blow dry it is Brilliant Brunette Runway Straight Smothing Milk .It works great when straightening your hair.and the next day if you don't use the iron it will not be dry .Also use Pantene pro V shampoo moisture.hope that helps

I had the same problem and my hair stylist recommended Redken. It's called All Soft. There is a shampoo and conditioner. I have noticed a major change in my hair and I still straighten it every day. Hope this helped!! Just an FYI the shampoo is about $15.00 and the conditioner is about the same. It's a little pricy but the hair stylist always says you get what you pay for!!

go to photobucket and type in "medium length hairstyles" or just "hairstyles" you'll get tons of results, that's what i did when i wanted to bring a picture to my hairdresser. Or, if you like a celebrities look, find a picture of their style and bring it when you get your hair cut. I personally think that layers always look good and maybe side bangs, depending on your facial structure and features. good luck! :)

A one length bob would look good. Right now bob's are starting to come back, but there are many styles to choose from. Getting a one length bob would allow you to keep your length and still be fun and stylish. Also consider a slight longer piece on one side of your face as to make it a bit asymmetrical. Good luck!

i have FRizzy hair and i use FINESSE PLUS for dry/corase hair. Or maybe dry DOVE shampoo/conditioner "weightless".

Both are amazing for frizzy hair.. and finesse is extremely good for oily hair. With medium/long hair %26amp; an oval shape face it'll look beautiful with wavy hair.. and every once in a while straighten it with a flat iron (ceramic plates BEST).. this way you have more than one look for your hair.

alright here is what you do go to sally's get a clarifying shampoo use this twice a week it will cut down on the oil then get a moisturizing shampoo and a deep conditioner and a reg everyday conditioner use the moisturizing shampoo when u wash your hair except for twice a week which you will use the clarifying then use the regular conditioner with that except once a week when you use a deep condtioner also using a silcone shine surum will make the hair seem less frizzy only use one or two drops not a whole lot or you will look extra oily if you take this list to sally's the clerk will be able to help you

2. moisturizing shampoo use when you dont use clarifying

3. deep conditioner once a week

4. every day conditioner

5. silicone shine surum 1 or 2 drops

Braid it!! (pigtail braids, regular braid, w/e)

It keeps the knots out before/after swimming, and will cover up any ordeal you have. My hair gets superknotty when swimming, braiding is the only thing that works. It'll also stop it from being curly. Good luck!

Ok, so tomorow i'm getting my hair cut right before I go to youth group, and I need a picture to take in to show her what I want!!! I go to stores like WalMart or Walgreen's and see the hairstyle books there. There are clip and save styles in many of them. I feel having a picture is closest to getting the stylist to relate to what you want better. I look at the books at the magazine section in the store before getting it to see if there is a style I want to use. IF you don't get to the store before then try a google search and put in medium length, chunky layered hairstyles and click google search. I've found pics of hairstyles on this when I went there and entered what I was looking for. Good luck, remember hair grows fast in summer if the stylist cuts the length. The last part of what you put about thinning it out dramatically is layering. I had this done and it really thins / styles it more.

Never have yoru hair dyed black perminantly. Its the second worst thing than bleaching your hair all over. If you go really dark perminantly you can lift it back up without looking quite gingery and yellow. With colour, either get a few highlights as summer is coming and you want to look freash for summer. As for the cut, get a cute short hairstyle, its coming in at the moment and as long as you get a girly cut it looks great.

I don't think you should color it in the first place. if you have a dark hair color, you'll have to bleach it first and then you can never get your real color back. But if you do it anyway, bleach your eyebrows too so they don't stick out. That;s the #1 mistake about dying your hair.

Yes, but I'd suggest an "Ash blonde" color.. with some light to medium brown shades in it.. Straight blonde wouldn't look right. You have to improvise.

I don't think you will have a problem with that color:) It shouldn't come out brassy unless it was previously (bleached) blond. I think you have chosen a pretty safe color. Your roots (naturally) will be darker but it will all be the same color which will even it all out:) xx

Okay to begin with, the color of your hair in that picture was not brown. It is difficult to tell from a picture, but my best guess is that your hair (aside from the roots) is a natural medium blonde. Or, an 8.0. This just happens to be the color of the hair color that you plan on using. You will not end up with brown hair. You will need to choose a darker shade for this to occur. However, due to your misconception of your current hair color, I imagine you might really be looking for a dark blonde shade. Perhaps a dark golden blonde? That would be a 7.3 I believe professionally speaking. You do not have to worry about brassiness unless you are lightening your hair significantly. there are hairstyle magazines you can buy at drugstores like cvs. they normally have a bunch of pics and good ones. also look at celebs that uve like their haircuts. and the mag has a alot of celebs also plus just models... its called im pretty sure Hairstyles or something close to that! theres always a celeb on the cover tho. you could also go to the hair salon and look through those books, or have a consultation with your hair stylist and talk to her/him before getting it down so that way you know that they know what exactly you want and they may be able to find pics. and if you find one with the cut but another with the layers and choppiness bring both its always good to have more then you need! and for most hair salons consultations are free!

I'm getting extention for my wedding too. if you are getting it sewn do it 3-5 days before the big day. since you have not gotten it before it will hurt. so get it in early so by the time your wedding come your scalp will be more comfortable for the styling the day of the wedding.

if you are getting it glue which is what im doing and alot easier and less painfull, you can get it done the day of the wedding and it will look more real since there wont be any buldge from the braids you get when the sew it. so glue is much better and easier to take off.

There are three types of extensions. They can be glued in, sewn in, or you can buy ones that are attached to combs and can be slid into your hair.

I have the combs since I have lost alot of my hair bieng sick but don't need a wig. A talented hair dresser (or you with practice) can easily put in and remove these without the combs bieng seen at all. Mine are made of real hair and can be styled, dyed, etc. just like real hair. We got them from the beauty supply store like a Sally's. It was 50 for a pack of 8 that was four feet long and we trimmed them to the length I wanted.

If you are going to go with the weave (sewn) or the glued I would go with the sewn ones simply because I have seen alot of women with damaged hair from the glued ones. Talk to your stylist and see what she reccomends for your hair type. Both those types are expensive and do take a while to put in so shower the afternoon before and have them put in that afternoon or evening. You won't want to wash your hair with the extentions in.

Whichever you choose make sure you have it removed before the honeymoon. You really can't do a lot of water activities like swimming in the ocean with extentions in without them starting to look pretty bad.

Have you tried brushing? I would not trust any medication you can buy without a vet's advice or approval.

Brushing your cats at least 3 times a week will help with the hairballs, more brushing may be needed in shedding season. I use a comb of my cats that are medium too short hair. One has very dense hair and the comb gets out handfuls of hair every time. You will want to use a special brush on the long hair.

Make sure there is plenty of fresh water, replace water several times a day.

Your vet is a great source for advice, and phone calls are free :)

One word- FIBER. If your kittie has adequate fiber in her diet, hairballs should be a problem of the past. There are things you can add: pumpkin, kelp, quinoa, and Missing Link for cats. The best method is frequent brushing. Daily if possible. The more hair you get off the less they take in.

My vet also recommended fish oils. In addition to other benefits, she said it helps with hairballs. I'm not sure exactly how - I didn't pay attention because we don't have a problem.

I'm not crazy about those hairball treatments, and I would never recommend hairball food. Just stick with the brushing and try the fish oil. That's probably all you'd need.

1. buy a diffuser (make sure it's the kind with teeth)

2. use a curling spray... TIGI Bed Head- its a yellow curling spray, it can be close to $13 for the bottle, and you use it up very fast, but it is AMAZZINNG... i recommend buying it at least once to help train your hair... then switch to cheaper products, such as

l'oreal pumping curls (spray gel)

spray a TON of the curling spray into your wet hair, then flip your head over and scrunch and fluff with the diffuser. once your hair is dry hair spray it like mad... you'll look like someone from the 80's that just got electricuted but i promise your curls will calm down.....

What color is your hair now? My natural hair color is medium blonde. I add red highlights to make it look brighter. You can try John Friedas red "glaze" for hair. Every time you shampoo with it, it gets a little more red. I use it all the time, and I love it! You can do your eybrows with it, too. (Just be careful not to get it IN your eyes!)

I used it once when I had a medium/olive tan. It looked really good. And I did dye my eyebrows. It's a dead giveaway that you dye your hair (especially red) when you see someone with red hair and brown eyebrows. Just be very careful doing it, like apply it with a Q-Tip.

sounds like you should cut it really really short, almost like shaving but not all the way, then start over, it will take some time, but while it comes back in, retrain it to look the way you want it to look. best of luck

By a hair straightener that has like 1 inch plates. my hair is really bushy and dry looking and its curly but when i straighten it , it comes out straight and healthy looking.

If you want to go for the curly look buy some moose or a curl product and then blow dry your hair on low settings

You could get a hair straightener. One that is about an inch wide, that works well with short hair. Just straighten the curly parts when it's dry after washing, and you'll be good to go! I know guys that do this.

Being a Hairstylist, I would recommend using a Salon Shampoo and Conditioner. I would recommend Extreme from Redken.. To me there are to many labels to call your hair anything. It sounds to me that you have fantastic hair all on your own. But if you really want it to curl after its dried from the shower, try using a hair balm or wax, maybe even a pomade. Rough it up some and let the hair goo settle and then curl away! Take it from a girls point of view...when my hair was short like yours, thats what I did. Hope it works.

Also when you towel dry your hair put leave in conditioner in it. the key to making irons for you hair to work great it to make the hair oily and greasy. If you don't want to use any products at all, you need to get out of the shower, towel dry your hair, and let it dry naturally and start to love that look because it's yours. Now to go away from the cheesy moments, you could also use leave in conditioner to tame the hair that doens't seem right. Another thing you could do is keep growing your hair for just a little hile longer and hwne it gets long enough, cut it all off and donate it. That would be so sweet of you to do.

Get some mousse made especially for curly or frizzy hair. This stuff is meant to get the hair under control without weighing it down, or "sculpting" it (as you do with gels). You spray some into your palm (it will be a foam) then work little bits of it through your hair over your whole head. Then scrunch your hair up a bit to bring out a curl (if you have curly hair), or comb it into place (if your hair is straight). It will help the hair behave and not be flyaway, and at the same time will not freeze it into any particular style, so the hair can still behave naturally.

The one I use most often is perfect curls by la coupe. If I'm going to be combing my hair instead of encouraging my curls, I use Fructis Style control frizz milk.

I would just get layers and angles if I were you because if you get side bangs, it wouldn't look good with a cowlick and widows peak. Whatever you do, definitely straighten it because you wouldn't notice the cowlick as much.. trust me, my sister has a cowlick.

I have hair like that i got it cut to about my shin, layered and side parting. then i got a staggered fringe and thinned out a bit. I love it although to make it look best i have to straighten it.

I have a suggestion for you, here goes;

Try having it cut to just on your shoulders,and have some light layers added and a thinned out ( where they use thinin sissors ) and layered side fringe that graduates down your face,so it blends in

I have to agree with the Soapbox Preacher. Red hair is a weakness of mine as well! Especially when it is paired with olive skin and green eyes. A combination like that should never be messed with. I think everyone looks better with black hair too. But the thing that is an instant turn on is when a girl has a very unique hairstyle. Either wild colors, or the cut. I think black hair would make you look bad if your hair is short and not very thick. Or if you had pale skin you would look like a vamp or something.

If you want to dye it darker, I suggest like a chocolate color. But remember to have like different shades in your hair. Some people I know died their hair and they looked horrible because it looked like they were wearing a wig since every piece of hair was the same shade.
