How do I get rid of this hair color?

Here's the story in short:

Last Wednesday I dyed the inside of my hair a dark brown but I wanted the color darker. Then on Friday I dyed the inside jet black and the result was not what I wanted. It was way to dark compared to my natural hair color [ash brown]. On Sunday I dyed ALL my hair Medium Reddish Brown, in attempt to make the jet black less dark. I thought it would make a difference but it really didn't. The inside of my hair is still jet black but now the rest of it is red/brown. I love the red/brown color but i hate the jet black. How can I make the jet black color lighter?!??!?!

the more you wash it the more it will fade. I would suggest going to a professional and letting them lift some of the black dye out or your hair.

I have jet black hair with a dark blonde over the top. The only way to get rid of black is to bleach it then re-dye it which is incredibly bad for your hair. If you leave it as it is the black will fade to dark brown within about eight weeks - mine has, it needs redoing!

In most beauty supply stores, they have something called color remover. Beware, though, it is strong!

I saw this product on the shelf at Rite Aide called Opps, that takes away a mistake,,

there are also hair color removers on the market, and they won't make your hair blonde if it is black, but it will make it a brown/red. If you wait a couple weeks, soak your hair in coconut oil, it will fade faster. wash your hair alot, fading is normal anyways.

Are you using permanent hair color? If so, you will probably have to strip it (i.e. bleach it), and then put whatever color you want. Careful though, it can be very damaging to your hair, especially if you are using permanent colors. Maybe do some all over high and low lights to balance it out, then wait a month or so, and put the color in that you want. Good luck!
