okay i have medium hair and i dyed it red and its really damagesd i want to let it grow out so that i can have ny virgin hair back but my hair dosent grow???? how can i make it grow longer?

i have had the same problem before honey. i tried everything. time. that's the only thing that you can give it to make it grow. there are shampoos and treatment to make it thicker, but not to grow faster. just make sure you eat right and drink plenty of water. hair growth depends on a healthy body to grow .

It'll grow. You just have to stop watching it because you're making it paranoid. Some hairdressers claim to have products to make hair grow quicker but it's probably all lies.

first of all dont syle your hair all the time keep it away from styling products for a while. wash it daily with shampoo and the use a conditioner. take vitimin suppliments that have a large quantitiy of biotin in it which encourages faster hair growth.

Do you have dandruff ? In certain cases dandruff limits hair growth, so it's best to consider an anti-dandruff shampoo if you have them. But in the meantime, try to consume a lot of fish oil. And also vitamin e. They help in restoring shine and strength to damaged hair, in some cases. Good luck.

The only thing that has ever worked for my slow growing fine hair is to massage my scalp. Do it regularly to stimulate the roots... Also use a good conditioner. I like olive oil conditioner or a hot oil treatment.

For now, I would suggest a conditioner that's formulated to repair hair damaged from chemical treatments. I'm not quite sure what your problem is with your hair not growing out. If your hair takes a long time to grow anyway, that might be your problem. If that's not the case, I really don't know what to say... You might want to see a professional about this.

If it is damaged, then it is probably breaking off. It is still growing, but breaking.

Here is what I would do and have done before:

Go to a good hairdresser.

Have them trim off as many splits as possible without cutting off the length--about 1/4 of an inch is all that really needs to be done.

Get layers-have the hairdresser do long layers in your hair. This should cut out some damage without the length.

Get a good color glaze-it fills in the gaps caused by damage.

Deep condition weekly, more if your hair does not go "flat".

Take vitamins-any multivitamin will do.

Get a good shampoo, condition, and deep conditioner from the hairdresser made for color treated, damaged hair. Use it.

Use a silicone based hair product on your hair. If you blow dry, use it BEFORE you dry it, and then use a little more after if hair looks split still (don't apply to roots, makes it look greasy). My fave is Bed Head Girl Toys.

It will grow back healthier, in the meantime you need to keep the hair you have from splitting more and cut the damage off gradually.

hun, your hair will grow. if you realllllllly dont like your hair color, go to a hair dresser and have him/her die your hair back to its origional color. also cut your hair pretty short. that way you wont have as much red to grow out. its probably a good idea to stay away from hair dryers, curling irons and straighteners for a while, cuz that will damage it even more.

I have had this same problem, and wanted my hair to grow so this is what I did:

- I warmed up some coconut oil and massaged it on my scalp, massage your roots very very well, and then sleep with the coconut oil on, when I woke up I took a shower, with my usual shampoo and conditioner

- shampoo twice, massage it on then rinse

it off, then put shampoo on again and

then you can use your conditioner

you don't have to use coconut oil; olive oil and almond oil also work. trus me it works
